Everyone

  • bring at least a dozen different tops
  • avoid loud patterns and logos
  • no turtlenecks
  • suntans- avoid the sun!! It makes your skin look dry, red, and shiny
  • layering is great
  • variety is a good thing
  • business suits and business casual are a great idea for men and women
  • think about your type and what roles you could play
  • pay attention to what people are wearing on television to get ideas for clothing


If you see a headshot you like or have an old favorite one bring it with you. We are in a visual business and we'll be able to communicate better.

Women and Young Ladies

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND OUR HAIR AND MAKEUP ARTIST! If you absolutely know how to do your own, that's great, but it's a vital part of a great headshot and it must be done well. My makeup and hair artist is supremely talented, on time, and stays throughout the session and she is friendly and easy to work with. She also does consultations freelance. Men

  • You may come in unshaven and shave after we do a few shots (if that look suits you)
  • Haircuts should be done about a week in advance
  • Grooming is available for men

Kids

  • Kids should look like kids!
  • Clothing should be age appropriate
  • Avoid black
  • Keep hairstyles simple
